Montgomery County Votes In Secret

BEHIND CLOSED DOORS !
MONTGOMERY COUNTY VOTES IN SECRET TO
WASTE YOUR TAXES , ATTACK YOUR RIGHTS.

The County Council voted today in closed session to appeal a federal judge's ruling last week that the county's new gun show bill is illegal. Federal Judge Marvin Garbis ruled against the bill, saying the county has no right to tell the City of Gaithersburg not to allow the sale of guns within its borders simply because the fairgrounds receives county tax money.

Gun shows have taken place at the Montgomery County Agricultural Center and Fairgrounds in the City of Gaithersburg for 10 years. The county bill denies tax money to any organization, public or private, that allows the display and sale of guns at a multipurpose exhibition facility it owns or controls.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So, the County, first having made a challenge to gun owning citizens by this law, and then having to run the race in court chosen by those citizens they have infringed, the County has now fallen at the first of many high legal hurdles. But, undeterred, the County staggers onward. They stagger indiscriminately, blind drunk with their presumed power. They do not like gun owners or their ritual shows and the County is determined to force gun owners to kneel at a different alter. They have no fear of course, it’s not their money they are spending. By their taxes the County finds our pockets are deep. And it is not as if any of the Council members are worried about being voted out of office by a few pesky gun owners in Montgomery County, the democratic den of liberals in Maryland.

If you are satisfied, or perhaps just unconcerned with this state of affairs, sit back and enjoy your daily life. But, if you are angry at the enforced mode of behavior the County chooses to lay upon its citizens, get active. Sorry as I am to say this, but a Hollywood actor had the best line for this when he said, "Everyone. Go to the windows. Open them and shout out loudly, ‘I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.’ " It’s your turn now. Get active and tell the County what you think. Use the phones, the mail and most importantly, use your vote!

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams
